Amazing Arrangement now for flute choir!
Susan Bour has been kind enough to play my “Amazing Arrangement” with her group at the McLean Bible Church. She asked if I could add some low flutes to the mix, and here it is! Now there are two Amazing versions...the original for 4 C Flutes, and a flute choir version for 4 C Flutes, Alto & Bass. Thanks for asking, Susan!

News
Another busy year for Nish Music Engraving Services. My main emphasis was on Joel Raney’s music for Hope Publishing where we worked on “A Thrill of Hope” (Christmas cantata) and “Classic Hymns II” (piano 4-hand). Also engraved the big beautiful “The Wedding Organist” book for Hope and a wonderful solo piano collection (Gospel Gold) for Shawnee Press.

All purpose Bach:
Air for a Joyful Sheep
for Flute & Piano
Did you ever have to perform at a wedding-funeral-church service and wanted to play a Bach tune but couldn’t find an appropriate arrangement? I’ve often found that flute/piano arrangements of “Air for the G String” or “May the Sheep Safely Graze,” or Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” were either too long or too repetitive to suit my taste. So I’ve combined all three in what hopefully is a pleasant “highlights” medley of the tunes. And don’t laugh at the title...it’s better than the alternative: “May the G String be Joyful.” Click here for details.
Songs Without Words
Flute quintets who have alto and bass flutes might like these 2 little arrangements from Mendelssohn’s “Songs Without Words.” The first is the languid Tranquillo, followed by the fast and furious Tarantella-like Allegro Molto. Together they take only about 4-1/2 minutes to play and would be a nice addition to any program. Click here for more.
And finally...thanks!
