This Christmas Overture combines “Ding Dong Merrily on High” and “Deck the Halls.”  It makes ample use of major thirds to give one the impression that a lot of doorbells are going “ding dong.”  The more relaxed middle section adds quotes from “Angels We Have Heard on High.”  It’s bubbly, fast, and challenging.
